LAST STOP: THE BRONX, NEW YORK!

As I mentioned back in a post you can read by clicking here, the past (roughly) month and a half has found me on what I'm calling my "SPRING-ING INTO ACTION TRI-STATE AREA TOUR."  The first stop was New Jersey's Asbury Park Comic Con in late March.  That was followed by another appearance in Bridgeport, Connecticut for a "Bedlam at the Bijou" double-feature screening of Mad Monster Party and The Nightmare Before Christmas.  Then towards the end of April it was back to New Jersey for another Superheroes For Hospice Charity Comic Sale.  I had a blast at all the above events and thank all those who came out to meet me.

This Saturday, May 11th concludes my "spring tour" with a stop at the KIDS COMIC CON.  I'm part of a team of volunteers who have been working double-time to prepare for the event with all sorts of behind-the-scenes activities. As such, I am a bit run ragged to get too far into the details on this event, so forgive me for sending you to the following links from FIRST COMICS NEWS where you can read all about the show for yourself:

Me?  I'll be there but mostly doing some behind-the-scenes stuff including conducting podcast interviews.  I will, however work my way over to the Archie Comics booth to sign copies of ARCHIE & FRIENDS DOUBLE DIGEST #27. It features as its lead-off story a tale I wrote several years back.  Here's the background on it: The story (called "The Magic is Gone") was originally intended to kick off a 35th issue of ARCHIE’S MYSTERIES, but it ended up headlining ARCHIE & FRIENDS #85 instead, as ARCHIE’S MYSTERIES was canceled after its 34th issue. Now, a decade later the story is available once more.  Once you write for Archie, your stories will be enjoyed by readers forever!

I do want to give a special shout-out to my friends Joe Endres and Jesus Marquez who are debuting exclusive pages of their new comic Space Scamps at Kids Comic Con. This is a fun one - it takes the characters from Endres' popular Colossians series and brings them back in time to when they were kids!  There's goofy alien beings and creatures galore and plenty of humor to go around, so it's definitely Scared Silly certified!  Above is a sneak peak at the cover and below is one of the interior pages - ENJOY! (AND SEE YOU AT KIDS COMIC CON!!!)
