It just seems like Bud and Lou weren't all that interested in the weak material. If you click on the "Further Reading" link to the Greenbriar Picture Shows article, the writer makes a good point - after doing their classic routines in front of live audiences for TV leading into the filming of Hyde, the tired Hyde script must have been a real letdown for them. Just my two cents.Paul Castigliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00311677339576296386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1336951618302437812.post-75406665112779283342009-11-26T09:23:00.771-05:002009-11-26T09:23:00.771-05:00Interesting. When I watched it this time, before reading the review, I also noticed the sufragette/dancing hall contradiction, as well as the creepiness of "I've loved you since you were a child" from Karloff, but I still find many of the scenes very entertaining. Could also be that the childhood memories of reallly enjoying this one still trump the adult perspective, and some of the fun may be in analyzing and comparing the various films, even if they are not all great ones.Bob Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03325867398066254117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1336951618302437812.post-80478496002554686892009-11-26T06:24:10.255-05:002009-11-26T06:24:10.255-05:00I've been enjoying your posts. I'll have to track a few down :Dsuzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01513308877466195386noreply@blogger.com
